Three generations?
Three generations not working.
Three generations teenage single
mums who fell pregnant to get
benefits and drinking
social housing and smoking
wide-screen televisions on
sink estate gang culture
violence knot their tubes
poor people knot their tubes
(always knot never snip funny that)
poor people breeding poor people
breeding nest best stop them now
many too many too far
bar the few we can use
keep them sleep their hours
in holiday camps
in training camps
essential workers
in housing camps
townships bus them in
cleaning nursing teaching
childminding bus them back
though the gates
behind the wire
compound interest
invisible out of mind
no mess
no fuss
no more.
